Sight and Sound Theatre- Jonah Opening Night
Branson Sight & Sound Theatre- Jonah
As a real estate professional here in the Branson area, people ask me all the time, “Why do you live here?” I have lots of answers for that, but one of many is the wonderful productions and family experiences we have available here in the area.
Last night, I had the pleasure of attending “opening night” at the Sight and Sound Theatre in Branson for their new show Jonah. Nothing short of amazing. Who wouldn’t want to see a show where a man spends three days in the belly of a fish? (by the way we LOVE our fishing down here, but that’s a whole other blog) The Bible Story was truly brought to life with extraordinary sets, costumes, live animals and the music…. spectacular. It truly moved me to tears. Thanks to all the cast, director, producers, writers, artists etc. for an magical evening. If you want additional information about the show or tickets here is the link:

Neighbors & Friends February Meeting
Neighbor & Friends of Table Rock Lake is a group of women who are committed to the Table Rock Lake Community who want to foster wonderful relationships through monthly luncheons & interest groups that share the same interests. The group meets once a month on the 2nd Monday for lunch at Our Lady of the Cove Church at 20 Kimberling Blvd., Kimberling City, MO 65686 US at 10:30 am and guest speakers present on current topics. As an organization it is priority to give back to the community through scholarships.
Our speaker this month was Debbie Dance Uhrig she has written several cook books and is currently responsible for the Silver Dollar City Culinary Institute, where she teaches classes on cooking to the community.

Blogging Made Simple
The most important part of learning is “sharing” with others who have a passion or an interest that you do. What makes Keller Williams special is as agents we come together to share “struggles, triumphs and stories” to help elevate our personal business and strive to offer our clients great services.
Today we had a technology class on the blog. These are the Questions we answered- How, What,When, Why?
How? Write about what you know & what others might want to know, use 300-500 word, pick 2 or 3 points to write on, have catchy title, use 5-10 key words, keep simple, use pictures and video, utilize back links, don’t copy, call to action & make sure to be the Author
What is the purpose? To find clients that you can engage with, seen as an expert in your field and to build Google Juice for your website
Where? There are free options: wordpress.com, featuredblog.com, blogger.com or paid version: active rain.com and use additional sites like: Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, Pinterest, Google+, business websites
Why? lots of reasons…give yourself original content, ranking your properties, drive readers to your website, create excitement about your business & properties, additional marketing for your clients.

Thinking about buying or selling a Branson home? Why 2014 is looking up.
The Branson & Table Rock Lake area is ready for Home Buyers & Sellers this Spring
Spring is just around the corner and it’s a great time to consider purchasing a home, whether you are a first time buyer, moving up/down, or looking for a second home. There are lots of great reasons to take the plunge.
Mortgage rates are on the rise, don’t be surprised to see the upper 5% by end of 2014. All indicators point towards higher rates and potential buyers will get less home due to total cost of purchasing. A 1% point increase in rates actually translates to a 10% difference in your monthly payment.
Example:
A standard 30-year fixed-rate mortgage, the monthly payment on a $200,000 loan would be $955 for a 4% mortgage versus $1074 for a 5% mortgage. That’s a monthly difference of $119

Due to rising interest rates lenders will not have the luxury of refinancing existing homes. So lenders will need to work harder and be more competitive for prospective buyers. The interest rate movement also is important to the seller of a home, because the lower the rate, the more qualified buyers are available to purchase. So the time is right to buy or sell.
